Sisler High School alumna Hannah Daya studies at the University of Manitoba to be a teacher. She would like to be a mathematics or science teacher for high school students.
Hannah’s goal is to give back to the community through teaching. As a teacher, she believes she can help students realize their full potential and guide them to better opportunities.
Hannah admits worrying about missing out on the much-needed scholarships by not meeting the required marks. That is why she is always working hard to be at the top of her class and perform better than before.
“Because of the Westland scholarship, I can relax. Even if I do miss out on other scholarships, I still have this one to support me. Your support relieves my anxieties about the costs of my studies,” she says.
Hannah is grateful to the Westland Foundation for the work it is doing for students. She says, “Your support will not go to waste. You are inspiring students and creating opportunities for better futures.”
