Westland Foundation Education Fund (WFEF) scholarships are available toward first-year tuition fees at RRC Polytechnic, the University of Manitoba, and the University of Winnipeg.
Eligibility
You are eligible to apply if:
- Attended an inner-Winnipeg school for grades 7-12 (link to page with list of schools)
- Complete grade 12 in 2023-24, 2024-2025, 2025-2026
- Plan to attend and enroll full time at RRC Polytech, University of Winnipeg, or University of Manitoba
Students can still receive the scholarship up to 30 months from the date of their grade 12 graduation.

How the scholarship works
Red River College Polytech
- Any final mark of 70% or higher in each subject from Grades 7 to 12 at an inner-Winnipeg school will count toward the WFEF scholarship.
- Each 70% mark or more receives an allotted amount of money.
- Year 2 scholarships at RRC Polytech are available if funds remain. Students need a minimum 3.0 GPA from their first year and must continue in the same program for their second year to receive the scholarship.
University of Winnipeg and University of Manitoba
- Any final mark of 80% or higher in each subject from Grades 7 to 12 at an inner-Winnipeg school will count toward the WFEF scholarship
- Students who are eligible for a scholarship at the University of Manitoba must be registered for at least 24 credit hours to receive the scholarship.
Academic Year: 2026-27 Scholarship
- Applications for the 2026-27 year will open June 1 and close June 30.
