Application

The Westland Foundation encourages students who are registering in RRC Polytechnic, the University of Manitoba, or the University of Winnipeg to apply for its 2024-2025 academic year scholarship.

The deadline for submission of an application is July 31, 2024.

Applicants must have attended Grade 7 to 12 in any inner-Winnipeg schools and completed their Grade 12 in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.

To apply, please review and follow steps 1 to 6 of the below application guidelines.

Step 1: Have a copy of your official Transcript of Records from Grade 7 to 12 (and report cards for applicants that may not have their Grade 7 and 8 marks in their Transcripts of Records).

Step 2: Use a marker to highlight your eligible marks, count them, and take note of the total count:

• If applying for the WFEF scholarship toward RRC Polytechnic, highlight your 70% and higher final marks for each subject taken from Grade 7 to 12 inner-Winnipeg schools. Count your 70% to 79% and your 80% and higher final marks. You will be asked to provide us with the total count through the online form. The total count will determine your scholarship amount.

• If applying for the WFEF scholarship toward the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, highlight your 80% and higher final marks for each subject taken from Grade 7 to 12  inner-Winnipeg schools. Count your 80% and higher final marks. You will be asked to provide us with the total count through the online form. The total count will determine your scholarship amount.

Step 3: Scan your Transcript of Records (and report cards). Name the file with your last name followed by a comma then your first name (ex. Smith, Amanda) and save it as ONE PDF.

Step 4:

Complete the application form.

Step 5: Upload the scanned copy of your highlighted Official Grade 7 to 12 Transcripts of Records (and report cards) as one file attachment to the application form.

Step 6: Submit your application on or before July 31, 2024.
