How many times can I apply for funding?
The Westland Foundation is a single application process only. You can only apply once at this time.
Can I apply if I don’t live in the designated geographic neighbourhood?
Living in the designated boundary is required to receive funding.
You must live inside the boundary of Inkster Boulevard (North), the Red River (East), Assiniboine River (South) and Route 90 (West). See map here.
What is the criteria to apply?
Attended an inner-Winnipeg school for grades 7-12.
Complete grade 12 in 2023-24, 2024-2025, 2025-2026
Plan to attend and enroll full time at RRC Polytech, University of Winnipeg, or University of Manitoba
Students can still receive the scholarship up to 30 months from the date of their grade 12 graduation.

What documents do I need to apply?
You need a copy of your Transcript of Record and/or your report cards from grade 7-12.
Complete the online application here.
I can’t find my high school transcripts. What do I do?
Transcripts are handed out with your diploma at graduation.
If you have miss-placed them, please contact your high school office.
Report cards can also be submitted.
How much funding can I expect to receive?
The amount of funding varies due to the number of applicants, the amount of funding available and the grade percentages of the applicants.
In 2024-25, student received a range of $250 to $3,000, while students in 2025-26 received a range of $2,000 to $6,000.
When can I expect to receive the funding?
Receipt of the funding varies based on the deadline and processing of the applications.
Westland strives to deliver the funding allocations to our partnering schools no later than September 30.
Do I get the funding directly as a cheque or deposited into my personal bank account?
No. The funding allocations are delivered to our partnering schools and they despite the funds directly into your student account.
Do I have to attend RRC, UW or UM to receive a scholarship?
Yes. Westland only has partnership agreements with RRC Polytech, the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg only. Other post-secondary schools are not eligible at this time.
